Admission Procedure

Admissions to  F.Y. Classes  start after declaration of  H.S.C. Examination result and as per the schedules and instructions received from the University of Mumbai and Government. Admissions to the S. Y. / T.Y. Classes start after declaration of the F.Y. / S.Y. Examination results.

  • Students seeking admission should apply in person during the hours notified for the purpose (between 10.00 A.M. to 2.00 P.M. office hours) or as per the directions of University of Mumbai.

  • A student is required to present himself along with an application in the prescribed form duly filled in and signed by him/her and his/her parents/guardians.

  • Parents are requested to accompany the ward at the time of admission.

  • No admission shall be regarded as duly granted unless the authority or the Principal grants it and the College has received the full course fees.

  • All admissions are valid only for one academic year and are required to be renewed by an application in the prescribed form for each subsequent academic year of study in the college.

  • Normally, a student of this college who has qualified himself/herself for admission to higher class will be admitted to such class provided an application for that purpose in the prescribed form, duly filled in is received with the necessary fees within the notified period.

  • Once a student is admitted to the college, he/she shall be liable to pay full fees for the whole academic year.

  • For securing admission, it is necessary to produce Photo Copy of following documents:

    • Statement of Marks of SSC, HSC, FY and SY (wherever necessary)

    • Leaving certificate of the school / college last attended(Original for FY admission in the college)

    • Caste certificate (if applicable)

    • Income Certificate (if applicable)

    • Aadhar Card

  • “No Objection certificate” from the Head of the Institution last attended in the case of student coming from the other college and joining the S.Y. / T.Y. Classes.

  • Transfer Certificate in  case of Students coming from the College affiliated to the University of Mumbai.(Manual & On line Certificates )

  • *Eligibility Certificate in case of Students passing an examination other than the H.S.C. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune or Examination of any University other than the University of Mumbai as the case may be.

  • All admissions are provisional until Passing Certificate / Transfer Certificate, (if necessary) is submitted to the College and confirmation of enrolment / eligibility is received from the University.

  • Caution money & Library Deposit are refundable to students on leaving the college.

  • All admissions are valid only for one academic year and are required to be renewed with application in the prescribed form for the succeeding academic year.

  • Once a student is admitted, he will be considered as duly admitted for the academic year, unless he informs in writing of his intention to cancel the admission and leave the college to the Principal, at least a week before the commencement of the second term. If no such intimation is received, full fees for the second term will have to be paid by the said student.

  • When a student ceases to be a student, the Caution Money will be refunded only if there are no dues payable to the college and also does not have any library book or any other College property in his possession. Caution Money will be refunded only on the dates notified for that purpose. The prescribed form for the withdrawal of the Caution Money is available in the college office.

  • The Caution Money will be forfeited if not collected within a period of one year from the date the student is ceases to be a student.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSIONS

a) For First Year Classes:

  • Duly filed in Admission Form supplied by the college office.

  • Duly filled in online Application form of university.

  • Original Mark-Sheet of H.S.C. Examination along with three attested copies of the same.

  • Three passport size latest colour photographs of the student.

  • If the student belongs to SC/ST/NT/VJ/OBC/SBC/SEBC as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra must submit
    • Three copies of Caste Certificate duly attested

    • Non-Creamy layer certificate with one attested copy of the same. ( For NT/OBC/SBC/SEBC students)

  • Student from other state must submit:

    • Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.

    • Migration Certificate from last Board/University attended.

a) For Second Year / Third year Classes:

  • Dully filled-in Admission Form

  • Two attested copies of statement of Marks of the last examinations/Passed.

  • Three passport size latest coloured photographs of the students.

  • The students, belonging to SC/ST/NT/VJ/OBC/SBC/SEBC as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra must submit following documents:

    • Caste Certificate with one attested copy thereof.
    • Non-creamy layer Certificate with one attested copy thereof ( For NT/OBC/SBC/ESBC students)
  • Students from other college must submit:
    • No Objection Certificate from the last attended College.
    • Transfer Certificate of last attended college/ University.
  • Student from other state/University must submit

    • Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai

    • Migration Certificate from last attended University.

    • No Objection Certificate from the last attended College.

    • Transfer Certificate of last attended college/ University.

  • All students belonging to reserved categories are required to contact the college office with all particulars. Such students will be admitted on priority basis as per the Rules.

  • Admissions will be treated as ‘PROVISIONAL’ until all the necessary certificates/ documents such as original mark sheet, eligibility certificate , transfer certificate, school leaving etc. are submitted and approved by the college and the University authorities.

AS PER UNIVERSITY CIRCULER. NO .8438 ALLOWED TO KEEP TERMS (ATKT): (Applicable to the courses under Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Commerce):

a.  A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of failure number of courses in the Semester I.

b.  A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she passes each of Semester I and Semester II

OR

A learner fails in not more than FOUR courses of Semester I and Semester II taken together with not more than TWO courses at each of Semester I and Semester II.

c. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of number of courses of failure in Semester III.

d.  A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV

OR

A learner shall pass Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than FOUR courses of Semester III and Semester IV taken together with not more than TWO courses at each of Semester III and Semester IV.

OR

A learner shall pass Semester III and Semester IV and fails in not more than FOUR courses of Semester I and Semester II taken together with not more than TWO courses at each of Semester I and Semester II.

e. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester VI irrespective   of number of courses of failure in the Semester V.

f. The learner can appear for the semester VI examination (subject to (d) and (e) above) but the result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance until the learner passes each of Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V.

Fees Deduction on Cancellation of Admission

Ordinance relating to the refund of the fees in all the faculties, (University Circular No. UG/412 of 2008)0.2859:

(a) Refund of Tuition, Development and all other fees after cancellation of admission:

The Candidates who have taken admission under graduate courses in Govt. Colleges, in Govt. aided and unaided courses conducted by affiliated colleges, and recognized Institution may request for refund of fees after applying in writing for cancellation of their admission to the course. The refund of fees as applicable shall be made on or before 30th day after the date of cancellation and thereafter. The percentage of fee for the course shall be refunded to the candidate after deducting charges as follows:
